5: Firm Kiss 

Ronan had always wanted to experience a spring break in Florida. Growing up he’d always pictured it the same: one party after another on the vibrant Miami shore, getting so wasted he couldn’t remember how to spell his name, and sleeping with bikini clad strangers he’d never see again. The reality of his first spring break in Florida was vastly different, starting with the fact he was three hours away from Miami in Orlando. More specifically he was at the Universal Studios in Orlando. More specifically, the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in the Universal Studios in Orlando. The closest thing he’d had had to alcohol since arriving late last night was butterbeer and the only person he had any interest in sleeping with was currently sporting a Hufflepuff scarf and backpack, despite the hundred degree weather and hair dampening humidity. 

“Whatever,” Ronan grumbled down at the small Hufflepuff, who was currently bent over in laughter. Normally he’d find the sight wondrous and have the overwhelming desire to feel that sweet laughter against his own mouth, except she was currently giggling at the way he’d jumped when the Dragon in Diagon Alley breathed fire. How was he supposed to know the fucking thing actually spit out flames? 

Ronan continued to simultaneously frown and pout as his brunette companion tried to pull herself together and apologize. The apology seemed less than sincere with her snickering between every word. The grumpy look on his face sent her into another round of hysterics and she nearly gutted somebody walking by when her arm with a wand clutched in her fist swung out to the side. The man cast her an annoyed look and even shoved her away from him. This barely seemed to register to girl, but Ronan was ready to rip the guy’s arm out of his socket for pushing her. Tessa must have read the look of murder on his face because she hooked a finger through one of his belt loops and tugged him closer to her. 

“What a fucking dick,” Ronan growled, his eyes still following the shithead. He managed to stay put though, curling his arms around the shorter girl’s shoulders as she wrapped her’s around his waist. It was way too hot and sticky outside for two people to hold each other like this, but Ronan and Tessa seemed incapable of keeping their hands off each other for long. 

The feel of her chuckles rumbling against his chest was what finally brought his gaze back to the brunette. “You done now?” He questioned with a glare, one that was much more playful this time. Once she nodded her head yes, Ronan mumbled a ‘good’ and sunk a hand into her damp locks. He tugged on her hair until her head was bent back so she was looking directly up at him. His eyes roamed over her delicate face, lingering on her grinning mouth. 

“Such a nightmare.” He leaned down and placed a firm, chaste, all-too-brief kiss on her soft, rosy lips. “Mmm, but at least you taste like chocolate.” The first place they’d visited once entering the theme park was Honeydukes (Ronan’s suggestion) where they’d shared a Chocolate Frog. The taste of it was still lingering on her mouth hours later and Ronan couldn’t resist flicking his tongue over her slightly parted lips before straightening back up and releasing her strands from where they were wrapped around his fist.  

“All right, let’s go get in line for the Hippogriff ride before I drag you into a corner and get a better taste of that mouth–” He linked his bruised hand through her’s and begin leading the way– “Or spank you.” Tessa moved slowly behind him and he got the feeling that she was struggling to decide if she wanted him to press her up against a wall or if she wanted to check out more of the park. After a full minute of silence and dragging steps, she seemed to finally make up her mind and started practically sprinting towards the looming castle, declaring that the Hippogriffs could wait, but Hogwarts could not. He was also pretty sure he heard something about there being dim lighting inside, but it was hard to hear her over the goddamn dragon breathing fire in the distance.

Tessa...I don’t know. I’ve only really spoken to her over twitter where she came down on me and such over a dare I did with Ronan. I still think it was because she was jealous. I mean you don’t apologize then go right back and insult a person. I was apologizing to her for the noise and things went left from there. She also seemed a bit condescending but maybe that was my way of taking it. She seems the type that is different with different people. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll get to know her but I don’t feel like getting reamed a new one anytime soon.

I don’t really know Tessa, but from what I’ve heard, she’s a really nice person. She looks like it. She just seems so sweet and caring. Maybe I should actually talk to her, maybe she could become some kind of nice figure for me around here. I do need that actually.
