I live a mostly boring life so any tag or mention is awesome, heh.
And since you didn’t specify male or female route in terms of P3P social links, these will be mixed up:
1. Shinji (Femc): He’s clearly (to me) the best partner for femc, and I just love that this route goes deeper into the gentler nature of Shinji’s character in general. He was already awesome before but the romance route makes it so much cuter.
(It gets harder from here because I never actually ranked them before)…
2. Junpei (Femc): A, I like that it exists for her route at all (I’m still curious as to how it’d work for the Male MC’s route) and B, I like that he clearly crushes on her at first, but then drops it once he finds Chidori, rather than becoming a player (which is how it would seem he would be at first). This resonates with me because when I was 16, I knew a lot of guys that were like Junpei in terms of crushing on every girl in sight at first (or every girl in our group of friends), and then finally settling down once they found “the one,” or at least one person that they held in high esteem. 10 years later, I would like to report that said male friends have had mixed results in terms of relationships, but at least they stopped hitting on every woman that moves.
3. The Monk (both routes). I like drinking, and as an adult, I can see more and more truth in the Monk’s bleak “wisdom” every time I play. He’s also the hardest character for me to *cater* to, as in, I always fuck up when I pick responses for him without a guide. I like that he’s not obvious or easy to cater to, though, since it seems like for most others, “just pick the polite answer!” works most of the time. All that said, the monk still learns from a teenager and improves his life, and the teenager learned from him as well.
4. Saori (Femc). I work at library and have been for the majority of my adult life, so it’s cool to have sort of a library sim (though I joined the health club during my current playthrough just for something new, so my screenshots will reflect that if I take any). I never understood the Saori hate because she’s never done anything wrong, imo, and her parents just seem unnecessarily antagonistic about nothing… maybe I missed something but I don’t recall her actually being remotely problematic to her parents/old school, but it’s like she’s been emotionally abused her whole life and just accepts it… I can relate. I’ll find out once I finish her route during this playthrough, but from memory it just seemed like all the adults in her life bullied her and didn’t realize it, and that’s fucking bullshit.
5. Mitsuru (both routes). I think there are a few dialogue changes but for the most part, her social link is the same? (I’ll find out when I get there if my memory is wrong). I love that she shoots down the douchebag potential arranged marriage prick, and that both MCs back her up. That’s really the highlight of her link, either way. She accepts that she’s a woman and will have struggles in her career due to that fact, but she refuses to let that keep her down or submit to BS wannabe “partners” in the meantime just to please board members or whatever of the company. I honestly wish I had Mitsuru’s courage when it comes to my own career goals.
Honorable mention: Chihiro (Male route). It seems like she was raised by a single mother, based on her link, and I was as well. She’s just relatable to me in general. I knew from the start that she’d never steal anything, and I love that she gained so much confidence in her P4 cameo.
