Draft print of my new “ode to Escher” tessellation linocut. There will be changes: adding color and possibly changing the black background to something textured/crosshatched. printmaking relief print block print

New linocut. Two birds, two fish, tessellated. One print in black & white and one using a stenciled 2-pass monotype as color. (It was mostly an experiment in adding color via some other method than hand coloring or additional blocks.) This print and its design were inspired by one of Escher’s woodcut tesselations. The title is “One of These Birds…” size is 11in x 10in (27cm x 25cm) #printmaking #reliefprint #blockprint
