❤️Gods Love❤️

I wanted to draw myself with Jesus just once. He showed His Love to me more than once in such amazing ways that it felt so real to me. And this is what I tried to put on paper. The chains represent what I went through, that 'thing' he freed me from. And the heart show how he heals me. I'm not comfortable with it yet to share it online what I went through. I am doing better and I'm not so afraid anymore. I'm getting there somewhere with His help. He didn't 'take' it away from me, but it kinda is still around when I am tired it comes back, but He is then literally with me and I feel his presence which I describe as a warmth that feels burning like from a candle or the warmth of a heater, but than from within. And he soothes me with it, calms me and then 'that thing', it just goes away on it's own. Here you see the final result 😊First time with real gold leaf.....just hard to work with.

Today my Pastor said something that struck my core “I’m not afraid of dying because I know I’m going to heaven.” I’ve heard it before and understood it easily, but this time I heard something seemingly answer back within me. I don’t know if it was the Holy Spirit, my subconscious or my soul. “I’m not afraid of dying, but I am afraid of living.”

It’s easy to say you want to die for Christ, I know this because over a year ago I almost died. And there were times in the hospital, and home unable to even feed myself. That I wondered why He didn’t just take me there. I was steadily walking closer to God, my prayer life was starting, I was consistently reading my Bible for the first time in my life. I wanted to strongly be with God. To me there was no where to go but up. But to still be here? A wrong thought there, a misstep in my day, forgetting to pray, forgetting to trust, choosing to (pretend) forget my Bible can lead to disappointment.

Living for Jesus may be the hardest thing a living person can do, but clearly God thought that any mistake or wrongdoing that may make me cringe at the thought that I did (or will do) was and is worth something to staying here on earth. I don’t know what He has planned for me, or what He expects me to do with the air in my lungs. But I know that He gave it for a reason, and I hadn’t accomplished it yet.

June 27 testimony: Prayer really works against the enemy

I'm really struggling with something at the moment. I remember how fiercely I prayed for it two nights ago, crying as if Jesus were right in front of me. I found out then that praying alone was really different when you actually verbalize it, not just whispering it in your head. I declared I would not ever be tempted again.

What my devotion at the time reminded me of how we should be aware of our enemy. What are our weakest spots? What can the devil use to easily lure us into his trap? What certain situations or circumstances are you in that is an opportunity for the enemy to tempt you? Think about it. It may look like free alone-time at home but really it's your vulnerability against the enemy.

Just this morning I almost sinned again. But I think God heard my prayers of giving me the guidance to be alert of my surroundings. I was so full of emotion, full of the yearning of my flesh. But as if a light switch was turned, I fully stopped.

You know that feeling when you're playing with a candlelight? It feels oddly satisfying seeing that small flame flicker up and down as a little bit of your hand passes. I exactly felt like that. It felt satisfying playing with fire that I didn't know could harm my life. And then I spoke just one prayer, "God, I'm really not sure I want this". And all of a sudden I became aware – oh, these are opportunities of the enemy, jusy like what the devotional material said two nights ago. I'm definitely in the danger-zone right now. So I fully stopped. It was hard to do, but I fully stopped. I went and cooked myself some siomai and rice because I figured my flesh might've been really hungry. Literally and figuratively.

And so I had a big brunch – my body free from the hold of the devil, and full of siomai-rice. It's really amazing how God finds ways to protect me. It only shows how much He wants His good, perfect, and pleasing will to be done in my life.
