So I was curious as to why the 5 day test in Barcelona is officially called a "shakedown" when it's literally just another pre-season test, but it's because the teams didn't think that the two official tests in Bahrain in February would give them enough time to get their heads round all the new regs changes - so all 11 teams collectively booked the Barcelona circuit, which is why it's a closed doors test with only the teams putting out the lap time information they want (in case their cars all start breaking down basically 😭)
