Trans changes - the Doctors don't know everything
I was told by medical professionals to not expect too much from puberty 2.0 when I started testosterone because I was fast approaching 40 and my body was too fully developed to adapt.
After 3 years on testosterone, I can tell you that conventional wisdom is complete bullshit.
I got all the usual changes you will find listed, plus a few odd extras.
Examples:
1)Today, I found one of my old thumb rings. I used to wear it all the time but about 2yrs ago it was put down and tidied away. Now, it won't fit over my top knuckle. The joint is physically too large. I realised my finger knuckles are broader too.
2)My feet have grown a clear half a size, length and width.
3)Hair changes are referenced as male pattern baldness, not hairline alteration (getting a widows peak) and getting thicker.
There is no such thing as too old for transition changes.
The only downside is looking like my brother. Dammit.
thankful and feeling free. Just over one month || just over 3.5 years
Aaaaaaaand since it has been almost two years here is my face. I'm two months on testosterone and this Instagram filter managed to erase all my baby acne and tiny moustache. I'm wearing lipstick for the first time in what feels like a century and ya boy is feeling it.
One year on T. Haven't noticed much change but meh, there's still time
💪🏻⬆️
(approx. 3 years on testosterone)
Yo, I know everyone's skin is different, but my HRT/Testosterone induced acne has responded really well to Neutrogena foaming wash(blue) and sStridex sensitive pads with aloe(green)
Ahhh.... I've just realized my tum and thighs are getting dark hairs. Oh myyyyy. My manliness is accelerating!
