I just saw another post on tumblr about how amazing would be a testosterone cigarette and I already saw multiple like this one that either would be about cigarettes, coffee, weed, ect… it’s not what I want. What I need. Give me testosterone tea.
Hello any new followers that have jumped across from my fandom blog testosterone-tea. As you know, I am deactivating that account, and I will be keeping this one. Welcome, please make yourselves at home. Feel free to continue to talk to me about fandom things on this account, because I still love my fandoms and will probably keep posting about my fandoms on this blog.
Anyways, welcome to my personal blog. I post things about activism, what I’m currently reading, poetry and English literature things. I may occasionally come on here to wail about my lack of an outside life due to grad school.
this is my contribution to the lush cultural exchange between testosterone-tea and I.
I’m not exaclty wealthy but lush is my guilty pleasure and this is all I collected in 4 years thanks to my savings and my aunt that spoils me at christmas with gift packages in the high range.
so let’s start with my everyday products:
I have oily skin ad for my face I use aqua marina, ocean salt, fresh pharmacy, coal face (not in the picture because I forgot it) and let the good time rolls (maisenza). the name maisenza is a thing of beauty because mai senza means never without but mais means corn, I love lush puns <3 I also use enzymion (but once I will finish I will switch back to imperialis) as moisturiser but now I keep it in the fridge because I don’t need that in summer.
my make up: control and success eyeliner, passionate lipstick and emotional vibrance powder. I use make up rarely and basically I never finished a product since I was a teenager, these will last me centuries.
for my hair I use I love juicy (tutti frutti), big, ultimate shine and godiva. I have also another shampoo bar, mr peppermint, that is amazing. as one can deduce from the name it has mint and leaves a fresh sensation on your scalp and hair smells divine! it’s a retro product and I have only one so I use it with parsimony.
not even 5 star hotels give you so many choice: rub rub rub (atollo 13, the pot looks ugly because a couple of times I needed the 5 pots to exchange with the fresh mask so I put the content of a medium size rub rub rub pot into the almost empty bigger one), turkish delight (la rosa di smirne), and twilight, grass, slammer and dirty-that-has-another-mint-shower-gel-in-it shower gels. the scent of slammer is lime and honey and it’s amazing but it’s another retro product that I use only in special occasions.
these are stocked in random places in my room: a piede libero is pink peppermint foot lotion and mi adoro is celebrate body lotion. at this point is pretty clear I go crazy for mint and citrus <3.
till far my collection is still passable as normal. now it’s time to kinkshame myself because I am nevertheless that a lush products hoarding addict smaug. how have I reached this point? basically not smoking nor drinking and semi hating buying clothes. I involved as many as possible friends into the lush cult and I’m ace at buying during christmas sales. all of this lead me to:
the tube contains 9 sugar body scrubs, I don’t remember the english name anymore but they are igloo shaped and among other ingredients they have eucalyptus and omg I can’t describe how amazing their smell is!
the little bottle on the right is one of last christmas shower gel and it smells of apple.
smaragadine is a floral bubble bath. I bought the biggest bottle and divided with a friend but I don’t like it much. fun fact: I have no idea how to correctly pronunce the name in english :D
freeze is another retro shower gel that smells of mint. and it’s divine! like it’s so good you want to drink it, I can’t believe lush stopped doing it and are now selling dirt that just smells fine.
the other small bottle is vanilla de-lite body lotion, that I is perfect for hands because it’s adsorbed in moments and doesn’t leave that annoying oily sensation that I hate about lotions. I carry it in my bag, that’s why it looks so bad. it’s also the only thing with vanilla that I don’t dislike.
the tin box of bubble bars: a good selection of current and limited editions. this box has reached the maximun bubble bar density level.
the tin box of mostly soaps but with a couple of bubble bars and samples. almost everything is wrapped in film because it must last and preserve its scent.
left box: I collected all my citrus scented soaps here. there are 15 pieces that means 1,5 kilograms of soaps stashed into a 15x15x15 cm box. it took me 30 minutes but I made great use of my tetris abilities.
middle box: some of my sugar body scrubs. the santa claus face smells of sandalwood and I love it <3
right box: my collection of FUNs. mostly of them are the small 100g packages because they come from gift boxes. and the twinkle star bath melts: they smells of lime and they have a blue core and transform the water in the tub in this sparkling blue sky... of course I love them!
here I storage random products like massage bars, body butters, solid conditioners and shampoo. the moon shaped soap it’s the angel’s delight christmas soap made expecially for the gift box in the picture (that has one of my favourite designs).
all of these boxes and tins are stored at the bottom of my wardrobe.
under my desk I keep all the bath bomb boxes:
and moar bath bombs!
apart for the one showed in the first picture I kept the bath bombs inside the boxes because they are a lot and it would took me ages to put them back. three quarters of them are christmas editions bought during sales when they cost half of their price.
all the pots and some other shower gel. except a couple of things all of these comes from christmas gift boxes (bought by my aunt or during sales). theis explain why I have some of these like rub rub rub or celebrate in unusual pot sizes when they are sold only in the big one. basically I made the christmas sale into a science: I accurately study the catalogue to pinpoint which gift packages contains the more interesting things (aka non limited edition products that are never discounted).
and last but not least this ugly box:
that reveals its hidden treasure:
more soaps, massage bars, bubble bars and bath melts. these two boxes are kept under my bed.
the last two boxes are stashed under my bed because I don’t have any more free space. basically I could bathe for the next 5 years without buying any more products and this is the reason I’m trying to control myself. in my defence lush products last forever and it takes ages to finish even a little 100ml bottle.
