Tethered. It is such a trip to revisit something I designed/made early on in my self teaching journey. I remember what I wanted to do with this, and how I didn’t have the skill to do it, so I had to find different mechanisms and approaches for keeping things together. As I made this again last week it was a chance for me to lovingly laugh at my old approach, and also reflect on the impact my learning path has had on my design journey. This design exists because I didn’t know what I was doing, but I needed it to be real. It looks the way it does because I couldn’t do it the way I truly wanted to. But now I wouldn’t want it to be any different than the way it is. It’s like a time capsule! Here’s my original caption, had to move that journal entry to the top! Another oldie design got to make an appearance last week! I love when customers connect with some of my more...ahem...untraditional designs. This chain strings behind the nape of the neck while connecting the two earrings. • • • #hworksjewelry #minimalistjewelry #tethered #tetheredearrings #timecapsule #minimalistjewellery https://www.instagram.com/p/BvJ79ByngIc/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=p55b5wbqhi4x
