hello my dears... stretch spider with long jaws and a beautifully jewelled abdomen

found this guy near the water's edge and its one of the prettiest spiders ive seen

its known as the green and red long-jawed spider, and its known for its vivid green colouration and red markings on the abdomen. the red patterning on the abdomen varies across individuals

this one has a moderate amount of red

in resting position these spiders tend to stretch their front legs forward and their back legs... backward, to mimic a twig

this behaviour also earns them the name 'stretch spiders'
