Mason beats the shit out of Tex after dropping the bomb on him that Mason sold Tex's horse.

Tex, describing the scene afterwards, when Mason has left to go buy groceries, Tex lost a tooth, the tables turned over, broken glass and smeared blood across the floor. Tex genuinely thinking that Mason was gonna kill him, shaking and stumbling around the house afterward. Everything hurts and it's worse when he moves and he's scared, walking down the road into the night alone; barely aware of his surroundings.

Also Tex: I love my big brother :D the only unforgivable thing he's ever done is sold my horse!

Listening to bits of Tex again, and being reminded how fucking adorable this boy is.

Tex holds his breath as he hears Cole footsteps cross the next room, holding himself as still as he possibly can; almost certain everyone in the house could hear his heartbeat racing in his chest, but when the man doesn't come bursting in Tex continues creeping forwards, his target of Jamie's bedroom door in sight.

The hinges creak as he pushes it open slowly, biting his lip and hushing it he nearly has a heart attack when ice cold water splashes him across the face; nearly shouting but the sight of Jamie looking just as startled as him turns the shock into laughter.

"Tex?! You- you imbecile! What are you doin' here?!" Jamie is fighting off giggles, motioning towards him with the end of the water gun again.

Tex is shaking as he tries to hush his own laughter, shaking his head and failing to explain fast enough resulting in getting another few cups of water shot at him- Jamie bursting with laughter.
