Had a quick visit from this guy.

Every summer, some lizard claims my back porch. This guy is our resident this year. He surprised me this morning just hanging out on my wire deer head. I didn't see him going out. He sat incredibly still when I came back in. Only blinking at me.

I ran home from a family party and was startled by this Texas Fence Lizard on the back screen door. I don't have my phone, but he was still there when I got back. He must have been 6+ inches long. When I went out later he was still hanging out and even let me touch him.

Lizards are one of my favorite things.
