Finding out about this song and accompanying music video was the absolutely worst thing that could’ve happened to anyone in my general vicinity. I just can’t shut up about it.

If you don’t know the song is actually about Judas’s betrayal of Jesus through the characters of a maid and witch.

Despite only being 4 minutes long the music video definitely captured the complicated emotions of the maid (Judas) with beautiful scenes of affection, bonding, jealously, and remorse. Not only is the initial good but it’s vividly animated at several points and THAT FINALE.

Shout out to the lyrics too for telling this tragic story and reflecting not just the aforementioned complicated feelings but the progression of doubt that comes to destroy an otherwise beautiful relationship.

Highly recommend Trickle’s English Cover as not only did he do a job capturing all the beats of the musical drama but his translation is probably the best out there. That being said there’s an endless amount of covers in all languages for this one so you have your pick.
