Story time: My idiot child (Vanessa) roughed herself up today >:-/

I was letting her have a very closely supervised crawl around my desk and this little punk tried to crawl into a tower fan. I didn’t think she was small enough to do it so I was carefully holding her while she sniffed around the thing but I’m a doofus and let her get her head into one of the slots.

She didn’t get any further than that since I got a careful but firm hold on her and wouldn’t let her crawl inside. She was trying hard to get out of my grasp but she eventually relented and pulled herself outta there. She’s okay but it did muss up a small patch of scales. Meant to get pictures but she was stressed enough by not being allowed to move and forced to come out so I gave her a quick check and put her right back into her tank.

It'll all go away with her next shed but just, watch your snakes folks because it’ll surprise you what they can get possibly squeeze inside.

I tried to post a video of Vanessa being a doof and falling and it was removed for sexual content? Literally the moment it was posted?

I know this has been an issue for awhile, does anyone know why though?

The guy I'm hoping to buy my Black King from finally got back to me and! Shipping is reasonable and he has some available! Gosh you just... have no idea how nice it is to hear good news about this snake endeavour.

Y'know, I was really trusting the aquatics store guy when he said my lyretail mollies would be fine in a 10gal. What a load of shit really! They’ve been nothing but a pain in my ass, and I’m almost at the point where I’d go return them for christs sake!

Moral of the story: Don’t ever trust the opinions of employees (even at specialty stores) unless you’re /really/ sure they know what they’re talking about.

Mr. Beautiful, my betta, has passed away.

His health had begun declining for unknown causes since the beginning of the month, however he was steadily, though slowly, improving till this afternoon. Not sure what caused the sudden drop, and I wish I knew what I could have done more to help him.

So far, my Cory and Otocinclus Catfish have been greatly unaffected by his passing or illness, but they’ll be monitored extra closely just to be certain.
