It's the second day of the annual camping trip and I've already found one frog and one garter snake! The garter was very strong, gave my wrist a good squeeze, but was very patient with my photos 😊

Uromastyx is a genus of African and Asian agamid lizards, the member species of which are commonly called spiny-tailed lizards.

Vanessa is a whole year old!!

Her breeder never mentioned what day she was hatched, just that it happened in June, so happy hatch month to my baby girl (who is about to shed haha)!

Hey, sorry I’m not active on this blog rn, I’d like to get back into the swing of things soon!

But, besides that, here is an impromptu photo shoot of Leo! I almost never take him out except to weigh him and check for stuck shed every now and again; he still hates to be handled, but is a very tolerant boy! His shedding has improved, though his weight and lack of activity has stayed about the same. He’s definitely chunky, but he holds it well and eats, drinks, passes like a healthy animal should so I’ve been just letting him be as he prefers.

TL;DR Leo is a good geck having an okay time!
