I came to FIT from my native Hungary, and I spent two intense years at the school. We would weave late into the night, and go together to sketch flowers at the Brooklyn Botanical Garden, the High Line, and the American Museum of Natural History. I felt hugely inspired and met some of my best friends in my class. I still keep in touch with my teachers, Eric [Ramirez], Nomi [Kleinman], Susanne [Goetz], and John [Dowling]. I’ve been working as a textile/surface designer since I graduated seven years ago, and I had the chance to work for prestigious studios in Italy, Spain, and Japan.

We took such great black and white photos in our photography class! To me this just symbolizes our youth and creativity, we had so much fun!

All the fun in the dorms, meeting lifelong friends and working creatively together!
