Saying that artists should put a note in their tumblr bio if they don’t want their posts reposted is nonsense.
If the user doesn’t explicitly state that reposts are allowed, simply don’t do it or at least shoot the creator a message and ask if they’re fine with reposts.
Saying you don’t know if they’ll allow it because it doesn’t say that they don’t and still repost is... very spineless to say the least. An easy and lazy way to get out of a situation.
When I leave my car open and you jump in and drive away, will you feel attacked when you get arrested? To say that you didn’t know I wouldn’t want to you take my car won’t help you either. Yes it’s my fault that I made it so easy for you to steal, but it’s still theft.
