Good evening ladies and gentlemen, there’s a whole lot to say but I’ll try to keep it short and sweet. I’m at a point in my life where I’m seeking more. Not only artistically, but spiritually as well. Although I’m still learning, I want to eventually live my life with a completely free mind, and an open heart. I’m seeking purity. I want to promote love, and develop new ways of thinking to advance us as humans. I want to help children who are less fortunate, not only here but in other countries. I want to be a better father to my beautiful daughter Justice, own property, and eventually be a husband with a big family. Ever since I first presented myself as a rapper to the world, I’ve felt limited. The older I got, the more I matured, the more I felt chained. With that said, tonight I turn the lights off on “Eric Sosa”, and present to you #SEFQ (@spanishericfromqueens). A Hispanic kid from a small town with big ideas. You’ll see a lot of my photography, paintings, poems, clothing and other forms of expression. I will still create music, that will never stop, it just won’t be my focus. I want to thank Danielle for helping me start the Eric Sosa engine up, without her it wouldn’t have been as big. I want to thank Mauricio for designing my logo, and Cornelle for helping me revamp, and always willing to help bring my ideas to life. I want to thank IMG for the time and effort they put into my brand early on. I want to thank @lou_dynamite for being the first person to ever invest in me. I want to thank everyone from Team V, to my Creative Collective brothers, and everyone who has ever believed in me enough to book me for a show, or feature me on a song. Last but not least, everyone who has ever supported me in one way or another, from thinking of me when you see 505, to sending me a #textsosa. A lot of times, you were my inspiration when I needed it most, and you didn’t even know it. There’s so many people to thank, if I didn’t mention you don’t take it personal, you know who you are. Thank you all and love always. See you soon. (at Queens, New York)
