After the war Peter’s teacher figured it would be a kind gesture to have their students write letters to veterans. Most of the students wrote short paragraphs where they were thanked for their service. The average length was a couple of paragraphs, while some only sent a couple of sentences.

Peter wrote four handwritten pages. He walked the veteran through the trauma they were gonna experience. Heartfelt descriptions of the emotional stress. He told them how the war might’ve ended, but it would continue in his heart, mind and dreams. Peter didn’t thank them for their service, but apologized for their loss. Peter knew the pain, he had seen it in his soldiers. He put as much experience he could into the letter. 

When his teacher mailed the letters to an army office, Peter’s letter were covered in their tears.

I’ve done some intense reading lately

In other words; here is why fanfiction count as reading literature. In numbers

I signed up to AO3 June 12th 2018. It’s been 72 days since then. I decided to go through my history page and make some stats. This is what I learned

I have read 628 fanfics.

They amount to 10′348′014 words.

This is an average of roughly 16′478 words per fanfic.

I have read an average of 143′722 words a day.

You may ask yourself, woo, seems like a lot? How much is it really? Well. I am glad you asked.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows is 198′277 words long. If that was the only thing I got to read, I would have read it 52,2028482 times

The King James Bible is 783′137 words long. I’ve read the equivalent of 13,2135425 King James’ bibles.

Reading fanfics counts as reading. You’re still reading literature. Some of what I’ve read is better than the books I read in English Language and Literature. 

Who gives a flying fuck what you read, as long as you do?

Or, to quote a teacher I once had: “If it’s written by someone, it’s literature. If you’re playing video games, all the text you’re reading is written by someone. It is literature.”

Enjoy life. It might suck ass, but at least you can watch your ship kiss for once.

Two people thus far has confused Peter in my drabble for Peter Parker and not Peter Pevensie. Absolutely amazing

Peter is your granddad who doesn’t know how to text and butt dials you once a month

Susan your grandma who calls you once a week asking if you need money because you’re a struggling student

Edmund is the granddad who prank call your parents by calling them saying he fell down the stairs while you snap it to all your friends

Lucy is the grandma who follows your instagram and posts stories about her baking and gardening

Narnia was a lot warmer than England. And it was significantly less rain. All in all, the summer was too warm, for a hot cup of tea. Susan was the mastermind who thought of putting ice cubes in her cup of tea. Iced tea. All the Pevensies had an instant new craving. The Narnians too. The ice was sent as big cubes on ships from the North. The Giants had found a quite profitable business in sending what they had a lot of, to iced tea thirsty Narnians. Then some unrest filled the North. The ice giants didn’t send anymore ice. The summer was hotter than ever, and an entire nation had lost their most important supplier to sate their innocent addiction. It was a weak. Then two. A whole month went by with no word from the north.

An advisor came running in. “Your Majesties! The ice giants threaten to invade!”

Peter had had enough. “That is the last straw. First they take our ice, and now this? We have to fight the ice giants. We cannot accept this.”
