waiting on clients is an excuse to play minecraft
So, I'm current working on 3 websites- 2 of which I'm waiting on clients to send me enough information to continue working (sucata and a dog-walking company) and the 3rd one I'm experimenting with AJAX for the first time, and I'm waiting for the developer-guru pa of mine to call me tomorrow morning to run over a couple things that are stumping me.
SO, with that in mind- I decided to boot up Minecraft again. It's been a while. I can't be bothered to keep up minecraftage.tumblr.com - maybe someday I will again, but for now I just cba...but it's easy to get sucked back in. I deleted my old world, started a new one with the seed 'andthescarypartisthatiwassoclosetobeingthem.' and spawned in a forest/swamp.
...it doesn't take me long to find a small cave, dig it out a bit and build a massive front-wall so that I have somewhere safe to stay the first night:
Two in-game nights later, I've hollowed out my cave, run a small deforestation expedition, carved out some chairs & tables, made a furnace-room and lit up the place with side-lighting. Feels homely.
This shall be my hall, my grand home...I'm going to build a wall around the outside of the place, which should give me some room to grow some crops and start a wee farm so that every time I get hungry it's not a near-death experience going out to get some food.
Don't worry- I'll try not to spam you folks too much with my playing minecraft...but if you haven't played it already, you really should. You can download it from minecraft.net
