I sketched in a very rough composition then used a palette knife to “sculpt” the trees for depth and texture. This is a very textured piece where I let the “sculpting” show me where the darks and lights, branches and leaves, should be. I Love working in a way where the piece has a very vague plan and allow myself to explore how a painting evolves on it’s own, leading me and showing me what it should be, I completly surrender to the possibilties of the process and follow my intuitive expression.
