Thinking about villains especially how “villains” are portrayed in fiction and how they can only exist in fiction because of that. What I’m more thinking about/talking about is how a lot of the time villains treat ‘evilness’ as some sort of objective quality that they somehow posses or are at least aware of it, Which wouldn’t be something that anyone who gets categorized as a villain in real life would be aware of. Even people who are aware of how messed up/fucked up their actions are/can be perceived as, wouldn’t be willing to categorize themselves as being ‘evil’. Idk. Just how fans or even creators of works of fiction seem to view ‘evil’ as a non-subjective thing. Probs overthinking it.
