Something that is very interesting to me is...

TF! Scott hasn't mentioned he used his powers that he used to kill AJ. Like, yes, the big guy sent them flying but the fall alone wouldn't have killed her, especially when she can catch herself.

Scott used Blizzard with some ice beams before he knocked them off. But if you watched him telling Shelby, telling Pyro, anyone, he doesn't mention it. He says he snapped, and he forgot his strength and their size difference. (TF! Scott is 6'4 buff man, Scott has called AJ 5'4)

Does he not want them to be scared of his magic? He tells them all that he didn't mean to kill her, but that he doesn't regret it. Which would've scared his friends off, btw. So, why doesn't he mention the magic too?

Nah I feel you bcs have we forget how AJ is? Like im sorry but she is constantly making things worse for herself by being an absolute asshole to other people and actively inciting conflict and fights between the students and just being sketchy in general. She got pushed of the cliff cuz she kept pushing scott buttons even when SHE WAS WARNED, and even then scott took responsibility for it. Like, maybe for some people misogyny is involved but lets be fr, is mostly because for other povs, AJ is just a bad person.

it's also the fact that people are not holding it against scott because it's scott, not cause he's a guy. if it was legs or sausage who killed AJ, i ASSURE you they would be getting their lashings. brother, pyro was also talking about killing CPK back when the whole 25-to-28 corrupted rituals chase happened. hell people were untrusting of fucking pyro for a LOOOOONG while after he killed tim, even if it was to defend others; if HE had killed AJ and has constantly gotten flack for being too violent or jumping the gun without thinking. if he had killed AJ on accident, he 100% would still be getting bashed for it. if it was Ash?? brother they would be HUNTING HIM DOWN, with the way so many people think of him as some evil caricature of a guy.

the fact of the matter is that public perception of scott isnt that of some irrational brute who would kill people just because —tho he's definitely getting a reputation for being ruthless about the rebels now. hell, even after the issues with AJ, ultiple people have now seen him be helpful to her and being cordial with her, and he even was the one that noticed she was starving a few weeks back and gave her food, prompting some others to also do the same

AJ projects a version of herself that is not Good and that is on purpose —probably as a way to keep control on how others perceive her, in some way to try and appear stronger than she believes she is because of all the horrible shit she had to go through in her past; and, unfortunately, it WILL cause people to not see her in a good light in many scenarios

Scott instead projects his own fear of abandonment and his need for control in how others see him by being HELPFUL, by making himself useful and making himself needed —because if he's useful, people wont leave him behind, surely. and THAT makes him be seen in a good light, EVEN in the worst circumstances

mind you, all these entire conversation happened because of miscommunication and misunderstandings FROM THE CCs, about things that people should or shouldnt have known. not to mention how people are ignoring that literally lest than 15 minutes later, the same people concluded that aj hadnt killed drift and they were just making out somewhere in the woods, so really, it's people fucking doomposting and bashing on another character to try and prop up their favorite one SMH
