Favorite Transformers continuity?

Okay this is super hard bc I really like what I’ve read of mtmte, which is #1 through Empire of Stone, but I feel like I haven’t read enough of idw as a whole to say for sure that it’s favorite continuity. I’ve also read AND LOVED transformers: galaxies wannabee, it adds some background to cliffjumper that I love to play with! His general distrust and kinda grumpy attitude makes a lot of sense when you relate it back to how authority figures used and/or disregarded him consistently.

I also have a soft spot in my heart for Transformers:Prime. I watched it on the hub after mlp when I was growing up. Ratchet and Optimus calling each other “old friends” oughhhh. I like the design of wheeljack and ratchet in particular, they’re tasty. I also owe prime my enjoyment of starscream as a character. Watching it at that time, he seemed to have just the right ratio of intellect to petty. I haven’t rewatched it for a very long time, so I’m not sure how it holds up.

G1 is probably my favorite just because it is so easy to return to. Is it good? No, not really, but it’s strange and silly. It is rough around the edges in a way that allows for a lot of creative interpretation.

Earthspark season 1 is my second favorite, it has so much heart and love put into it. I loved how genuine it felt… but I couldn’t keep watching the second season after Robbie said “well it’s decepti-CONs” I was like ??? What… what happened to the heart, to the compassion? I might pick it up again, I really liked the mirage design, but I’m not ready yet.

I’ve also been told I would like tfa, but I haven’t seen it yet!

Constructicons Rising is the epitome of Constructicon writing. For the fans by the fans. This team has such a special place in my heart, and it was so meaningful to see them get the characterization they deserved. The love and passion for them was absolutely evident in how they were treated as individuals with their own distinct personalities. More of this in the future please :)
