Anyways, I'll admit to being unfamiliar with most of Freak Fortress lore, but I tried to make it so he'd still fit in as a TF2 character while being able to do the same things Demo Samedi did since The Headhunter is meant to be a replacement.
So, backstory; The Headhunter was a bounty hunter born around 1831 and was hired by Blutarch Mann in 1855 to fight in the ongoing war between R.E.D. and B.L.U. The Headhunter ends up finding a cursed sword akin to the Eyelander -- which will be called the Headlander -- and becomes very proficient in the art of decapitation. He's eventually shot to death, but because of just how much heads he's collected, his body manages to come back to life in 1950 thanks to Merasmus; hence the decayed and skeletal nature of it. Now, disillusioned by the idea of working with the Mann brothers, he fights for the thrill of it, though retains some empathy for B.L.U. characters.
The Headlander is the source of The Headhunter's powers, being able to perform supernatural acts. Aside from being the source of The Headhunter's massive HP Pool as well as making him extraordinary fast and strong (Heads increase shield damage in the base game, there is some precedent), it also allows him to summon skeletons and ghouls of the soldiers it has decapitated. However, since it is the source, shattering the sword or exorcising it will just kill the Headhunter. Good luck doing that though! He may still look like a corpse, but he moves far faster than any regular human.
Okay! So we can't use Gh×uls because it is in rooted in racism. But we can use ghosts.
But yeah! So far! I like him.
