I would and I might, but I have to be cautious about downloading programs to my computer. I don't have a lot of room and some applications leave behind flies even after deletion that take up space.
So I'd prefer to find something I can easily pick up on the first go. Something that's similar to programs I've already got some experience in.
If I had money, or knew were to get a free copy, I'd probably go with Maya.
Though, in the end, I don't really care what program I settle with as long as I can model, rig, and animate without the need of downloading extra extensions or exporting to other programs.
I just really wanna make TF2 items and hats and model some original characters. sobsobsob

though it's not a vacation trip, I'll mostly be waiting in the car since it's just "drive to auto shop, pickup up license plate, drive to bother's place, clean it up, drive back home"
worst case scenario I just sleep in the car @-@
