Did Tfear only surrender gracefully because he believed he was going with the Mother Goddess to some kind of Pfhor Valhalla?

That’s a good interpretation. They’re a master strategist from a completely different culture from ours, but I can guess at a certain point just recogniziong and  admitting there’s nothing one can do instead of pouring lives and resources on a fruitless fight might be a good ticket to entry their Valhalla equivalent.
