Ichigo reassures her the moment he hears her intake of breath or unsteadiness in her voice.

Ichigo mindfully asks her to stay back to protect her from his attacks, rather than telling her to stay away and leave the fight to him.

Ichigo AND Orihime share the ending poem, the one about wishing to have the power to protect.

All of this after they've had a princess carry, shojō moments in the ending and Orihime single handedly protecting her man. I EXPECT A HUG AT THE END OF THE FIGHT

One thing I find interesting about Bleach is how a soul reaper’s zanpakuto is part of their soul. It’s part of them. However several soul reapers have swords of a different gender (Urahara, Shunsui, and Kenpachi). This to me, says some interesting things about their genders
