WHO: @adamsbrooks LOCATION: NYE event at the Metro
It's strange how someone can become such a staple in one's life in such a short amount of time. Adam had moved back to his place after a few weeks of staying with her -- as was the original plan -- but suddenly it felt empty without signs of him and Daisy around the house. They still spent plenty of time together, though, and had agreed to meet up at the New Year's Eve event. Mikayla was a little concerned about the effect the fireworks display might have on him, but if he was certain he would be okay, then she'd believe him.
She was looking out over the view of the town when she felt a wet nose press against her leg, drawing her attention. A bright smile came to her face at the familiar canine and she knelt down to greet Daisy before standing, looking at Adam. "Hi," she said, voice soft and warm smile on her face. "I know we just saw each other the other day, but I missed you. I'm glad you're here."
