Their goodbyes… ohhhh oh this scene broke me I cried like a baby 😭😭
(Au stuff below) I had to do a small smokescreen and Saturn version. I envision Saturn kinda holding up and not crying until he comes over to her to say bye, and she just tears up. Which Smokey hasn’t seen her do that before LOL. He genuinely thought Saturn wasn’t going to be emotional, maybe more of like a “I’ll miss you, come visit often” thing. But he really saw just how much she cared about him here and smokey was nooooooot ready for it.
He doesn’t have a lot of bots (or people) that he’s close with honestly. It was mainly alpha trion and maybe a few buddies back from iacon but all of them are dead. Smokescreen is good friends with Bee and Bulkhead, and soon like Arcee and Knockout. But he wasn’t… close close with them? Saturn knew all about him since he opened up to her, being the base’s therapist and all that. Plus he was her autobot guardian after all. He always wanted to hang out with her and she always wanted to see him.
Smokescreen did not want to return to Cybertron so much after getting so close to her.
