Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 21).

Drift suffers from a Transformer equivalent of PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) that fucks with his appetite badly.

The result is that he has intense midnight cravings for sweet things because of the robo-insulin resistance and robo-hormones going berserk.

A lot of it is waved off as him not having had enough to eat in the past (which is true also) but there's also irregularities like he will suddenly not eat, suddenly overeat. There are days he can consume a strongly-flavoured Energon without gagging because the craving is THAT strong.

He keeps a jar of Energon cookies so he has easy access to an edible though.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 18).

Drift shakes himself dry like a dog when he gets out of the shower.

He learnt it by himself. It probably looks like the most undignified thing for a usually honourable samurai to do but he doesn't care. Basically, if you're gonna nitpick, screw off.

Slipstream and Jetstorm ended up copying him too. Like father, like adorable twin sons.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 14).

Bumblebee's perpetual tiredness in a day isn't just because he's the equivalent of a young Optimus trying to manage a team of 5-6-7 Smokescreens.

It's also because he's still got PTSD from losing his voice box. Gets flashbacks just when he's in deep sleep and then wakes up either shrieking or with his horn going off in a shrill blast, the type that rattles your ribcage like maracas from the inside.

The rest of the team tries to comfort him when this happens. Drift and Grimlock usually take charge since they have more experience with handling someone with PTSD and can restrain Bee if he gets violent.

The only time he gets any relief is when Optimus swings by and they share a garage and berth together. For some reason, sleeping all snuggled up with his adoptive father keeps the nightmares at bay.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 12).

Drift and Fracture met as Decepticons, and continued a relationship for about a decade before parting on relatively civil terms.

It's why Slipstream and Jetstorm and Airazor and Divebomb are chill with each other + they don't really involve the Minikids in their relationship problems.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 1).

The twins always bedshare with each other. It doesn't matter how small or narrow the bed is, they'll find a way to bedshare even if it means sleeping on top of each other or in their alt modes.

Drift once tried to have them sleep separately because Slipstream got a viral flu. They ended up with night terrors and he had to put them back together again or risk them not having optics by morning.

Its gotten to a point where they always get either large blankets and pillows or twin blanket and pillow sets. The few times they have slept alone, Drift has noticed that either of them will still behave like they're bedsharing.

Drift has also lost count of how many photos he's taken of his students/sons napping together. He plans to turn them into an album soon.
