Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 19).

All Transformers have a scent that's uniquely theirs. You can smell it off them from birth and then it sorta dulls a bit as they age, but you can still smell it off them here and there, usually in their vehicle modes.

Here's some I've listed.

Bumblebee: Warm honey.

Strongarm: Patchouli.

Sideswipe: Birchwood campfire.

Grimlock: Freshly cut grass.

Drift: Musky jasmine.

Slipstream: Honeysuckle and lime.

Jetstorm: Lilies of the valley and lime.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 11).

Despite being allergic as all fuck to pollen, Steeljaw still likes to go flower-gathering when spring comes, as does Airazor.

Fracture often calls him a bad influence on her because she already has sinus-level pollen allergies, and she STILL WANTS TO GO PICK THE MAIN SOURCE OF WHAT MAKES HER FEEL STUFFY AND MISERABLE.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 3).

Steeljaw's 'fluffy armour' is actually fur.

As in, very much a Transformer version of wolf fur, with down hairs, awn hairs and guard hairs and even sparse whiskers and all.

Steeljaw can swim on a good day, but he doesn't take actual showers or baths often, preferring to groom himself instead. It helps distribute the needed oils evenly all over his fur for that silky shine and waterproofing. The only times he's had to actually bathe (with water/solvent and soap) are when he's covered in stuff he cannot actually lick off (e.g. oils not consumable by Transformers, certain chemicals, etc) or when he's done tending to someone sick so he has to sanitise.

That being said, Steeljaw also enjoys being brushed, so he lets the Torpedo twins have their fun brushing him anytime, anywhere.

Some headcanons I have about my fic at random (Pt. 2).

It may not look like it, but Airazor doesn't cling to Fracture as much as Divebomb does. It's not that she dislikes her adoptive dad or he abused her or anything negative. She just doesn't like TOO MUCH physical affection. Fracture has been bitten or clawed many times in the past just because he petted her for too long.

Instead, she mostly scuttles around talking her little helm off about everything and anything. She's very open about anything that crosses her mind to talk about and even when Fracture is bordering on 'oh Primus do you ever stop talking'? territory, he's never told Airazor to shut up even once because he knows that's how she shows affection. Divebomb wants hugs and cuddles, but Airazor just wants someone who'll listen to whatever she blabbers about at random.

Steeljaw manages to listen for long hours as well, surprisingly, though it's often chalked up to the fact that he just zones and tunes out like 3/4 of everything she says.
