Kinda dislike how this turned out but whatever. Please welcome one of the most bestest boys of the TG world!
Unique backstory, great design, good stories, amazing character. He's the epitome of Ishida's writing

I know everyone likes to refer to the fanon human trio of Hide / Yoriko / Kimi as ghoulfuckers / monsterfuckers...
But I think we need to give special credit to Hide for canonically being interested in ghouls since the very start, and for outright saying he'd date a ghoul

This has always been a really cute scene, but after reading Ikuma's chapter I'm just realizing how special and divine it really seems from Ikuma's perspective.
Ikuma being a poor and currently-starving ghoul in a new town, and God sends him the unhinged ghoul ally with an extra black coffee on him

Image 1: The front cover, showing a lineup of characters. Hide is tossing a rice ball, Sankou, Kiyama, and Cain are grouped together, Touka and Yoriko are walking together in their school uniforms, with the bully Mayahara behind them. In the background is two other high school girls drawn tiny.
Image 2: The back cover, showing another lineup of characters. There's teenage Tsukiyama with Hori crouched with her camera behind him. Ikuma is walking beside Hinami holding a stack of books, Yuuki, and Kaneki. In the background, drawn tiny, is the old man hospital patient harrassing his nurse, Yoshimura and Yomo standing together, and Kazuo Yoshida in the corner. End ID]
Chie Hori - Tokyo Ghoul Days
[ID: A fan-coloring of Ikuma Momochi, using an illustration from the novel Tokyo Ghoul Days. Ikuma is seen from the chest up, grinning with his eyes closed and holding up a can of Blondie black coffee. The neck of his guitar is also visible leaning against his arm, likely sitting in his lap off-screen. Ikuma has light skin and is wearing a dark purple hoodie and a grey striped beanie. His hair is brown and slicked back. End ID]
