Guy who never feels like his problems are “bad enough” to be taken seriously: what if I hurt the character so horrifically that everyone around them could not possibly deny the severity of their pain even if the character themself tries to downplay it.
"You're so nice" ok well bites you bites you bites you bites you
If my previous ask said fucks instead of ducks I'm really sorry I'm high as balls on edibles and sleep deprivation
worse <3
Babe we NEED pics of your rubber cuck collection
so actually ☝what i collect is DUCKS
I actually recommend everyone write for a rarepair once because it completely changes your relationship with fandom. Engagement stops being numbers and starts being names. You know who's going to show up. You recognize usernames. Someone disappears for a while and then comes back and you're like “OH MY GOD WELCOME HOME.” It's incredibly wholesome. It is also deeply inconvenient when all six of you simultaneously get writer's block-
honestly one of my favorite things about fanfic is when you can see the canon influences come out in really subtle ways. like a canon line thats mentioned once as a throwaway is suddenly the entire premise for a fic or it influences the characterization or something. its just so cool to see how people weave their ideas around a source material, especially if its not a detail i'd thought about before
Took me years to understand that boredom is not the enemy of writing. It is the raw material. Every good idea i have ever had arrived during a walk with no podcast, a train with no phone, a shower where i just stood there. The moment i fill every silence with content i stop generating anything of my own. I am just processing other people's thoughts instead of having mine. The empty space is where the work comes from. Protecting the empty space is the actual job.
I bet it feels soooooo good to be a construction worker on a completely closed off chunk of road
This makes me literally so happy
that being said I'm not actually always opposed to conflict free fluff I am just opposed to the characters having their claws filed down for it. you can stick them in a coffee shop au it should just still feel like you sat the two worst most insane people on earth in a starbucks
Before I knew it
Some Animal Crossing fanart I made for the funsies. Flick and CJ are big faves and said queer rights
Coca Cola flavored Oreos taste like if you could eat clipart
These taste like an abstract concept. Summer Vacation flavored. Yankee Candle ass cookie.
this just keeps being relevant
This skit absolutely slaps forever but I have to tell you guys the secret.
The weird Oreos don’t sell… but the weird Oreos just being around and visible make people buy more regular Oreos.
That’s why.
The weird Oreos DO sell, but my housemate is the one buying them all
I think they add an important element of randomness to the environment. My father in law bought 6 or 7 boxes of the Selena Gomez Oreos so he could set a Selena Gomez Oreo alarm to go off mid workday and then say to his coworkers, "Oh, my Selena Gomez Oreo alarm is going off!" and unearth from his locker his 6 or 7 boxes of Selena Gomez Oreos so he and his coworkers could distribute them around the neonatal ICU ward where they work. He said it livened up an otherwise extremely dreary day.
good morning exclusively to the atlantic’s science editor, or whoever it is that titles their animal biology articles
