Clone Week Fic
So for @tgcf-clone-week-2025 instead of doing prompts in a normal well-adjusted way, I wrote one big fic covering all the prompts, chapter by chapter and day by day lol.
Yes, I told myself I was going to use this opportunity to try one shots and drabbles. No I was unable to do so. I only know longform. So did I at least do a bunch of crazy hualian clone smut? Also no!
What we have is nearly 30k words of Banishment Era Xie Lian meeting several disguised clones of Mu Qing lol. It might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I just got sucked into exploring Mu Qing's point of view of Xie Lian during this period and what it would be like for them to meet (and without Feng Xin making it messier than necessary).
Its mostly a comedy, ngl, with some light angst.
You remember in the story where XL was mysteriously like 'how could I recognize Mu Qing's voice if I haven't seen him in like 5-600 years' implying that they ran into each other at some point? This was that meeting.
The fic is called Deceiving the Heavens to Cross the Sea.
Chapter 1 is out now and will be updated daily until finished.

TGCF Clone Week - "imperfection"
Hua Cheng pokes at the clone standing before him. He has to get this design right before he wears it to greet Xie Lian! He's erased his various imperfections - his missing eye, his death scar, the way he towers over Xie Lian - but this "San Lang" is still far from ready.
"Fingertips," he orders. The clone obediently shows its hands. Yes, he has unique fingerprints. Just checking.
"Hair," he says. The clone turns around, and Hua Cheng inspects its ponytail. Nothing is out of place or ghost-like.
So why does he still feel unprepared? Or perhaps the better question is: will he ever feel prepared to meet his god?
Hua Cheng sighs and considers starting over.
@tgcf-clone-week-2025 Day 5 prompt: Switch
You, and All of You
Summary:
Plural Hua Cheng's headmates have been increasingly desperate to front, giving him headaches more and more often. Xie Lian suggests an idea to lessen the pressure: make clones for each of them to inhabit to give his head a break. What he should have expected was that having five various versions of his husband calls for even more chaos.
TGCF Clone Week - "cuddle"
Xie Lian sighs happily, snuggling into Hua Cheng's arms. Hua Cheng holds him close, kissing the top of his head. Behind him, San Lang responds, scooting closer so Xie Lian is truly trapped between them.
He wouldn't have it any other way.
@tgcf-clone-week-2025 day 7: rest
My final fic for clone week! I had so much fun with this event, and what better way to end than with Hua Cheng getting taken care of like he deserves

A big hype-up and thank you to everyone participating!!!
A strong gust stirs up the waters of the South Sea. Waves crash down on each other as if trying to devour the ocean itself.
A dark figure breaches the surface, immediately swallowed up in the turmoil. A ghost's body should float in the Black Water Demon Lair, but the supreme himself sinks like a stone as the water dutifully follows his bidding.
His limbs are spread apart, and his face is turned towards the surface. Wide robes and long strands of hair, all black as night itself, swirl in the current.
A few rays of light stretch down into the water and touch upon two expressionless eyes.
He Xuan continues to will his body further into the depths.
It is finally done.
But the mind is a fickle thing.
Memories rush in unbidden.
