i absolutely devoured this book.

think hunger games meets Greek gods in jeans. follow the FMC through deadly trials and find comfort in her passing moments with the moody, secretive, yet delicious god of death

BUT AALLL THAT WORK-

YEAH THATS FINE, IM FINE

Did Persephone atleast get freed or what? I honestly expected Persephone to get freed easily, but itd turn out that during her imprisonment she realized she loved Hades more than a brother and we would get a weird love triangle.

Titans getting unleashed seemed too chaotic/destructive.

I didn't consider that Lyra would get captured - but like what will the next book look like if Lyra is captured the whole time ? Saved book #2 date in my calendar... i shall wait patiently.

EDIT: just some additional afterthoughts. The siren thing was kind of genius and a good twist

Hades really took a calculated risk in sleeping with Lyra- cause he was probably thinking how there'd be no going back if he rejected her at the water, but then he'd fuck her chances at surviving the sirens.

haven't binged a book in a month since ACOTAR but i think the games gods play is about to do it for me. 50% of the way through and im prepared to do nothing but read in bed today
