Can I talk about this scene for a moment, because it really shows how much Cardan loves Jude. Here is a man who had been raised as a spoiled, neglected, cruel prince, caring for a mortal girl. He is helping her when she is in pain, and he is by her side even though he is High King of the Fae, and she is an (though technically not anymore) exiled mortal. He could have easily called for a servant to clean her, he could have given her her own room, he could have left her side, left her to die on the table. But no, here he is, lowering him self to her side, abandoning all the egotistical ways of thinking he was taught, and doing such a simple action, however unfitting of a king, because he doesn't trust anyone else with her to do it right.

Does Drista exist in the TGON au?

YES! Drista is very much canon to The Graveyad Of None!

LORE:

Drista originally was a normal hybrid but soon developed powers, they weren't strong but still higher than average. She could turn into a specific form (shown below) and trick people into doing her bidding, her powers mostly consist of manipulation.

Her main role was cheering up lost souls in the "evergarden." (I shall make a post about this later! But in short its an in-between of Limbo and Death. A more peaceful kind.) Until rescue comes to guide them.

Drista is Dreams and Foolish's younger sister! But holds a strong resemblance towards Dream especially. She isn't too important to the lore, but does have her moments!

PS: she was a pain in the ass to design :"D

This is her "higher" form. She does not look like this normally, but just when using her powers!

FINALLY GETTING TO THIS ASK

Okay so

Pumpkinduo was actually quite healthy in the beginning, even during their marriage. Schlatt instead of seeing Alex like just his husband saw him as an actual partner, someone on his level or even greater, he knew he didn't need his protection or help but still offered it when needed. J isn't exactly one for feelings and lovely dovey self expressions so he perfers to offer gifts.

Meanwhile Alex is more verbally expressive, they're polar opposites but do dearly adore eachother.

Things started to go downhill during the later years of the election when the revival book was dug up and well..Dream got his hands on it.

Schlatt began to go insane, literally. Developing a certain disease.. muscular dystrophy to be exact which made him feel weak and inattiquite. He was once a strong, will powered egotistical man, now reduced to doctors appointments and physical therapy.

Plus. It's unconfirmed for right now but i might be adding something else that caused his insanity. But we will see, it's a certain pryon disease, let's see if anyone guesses it:)

Ofcourse, Schlatt eventually died and became Glatt. That's a whole different story but..Alex still did truly love him. But in his very core despises what that man did to him.

So you know in that scene when Jude is pretending to be Taryn in the Queen of Nothing, and she walks in a room and notices a pillow smeared with gold? Well, lets think real hard right now about what fae, possibly and probably friends with Locke, wears gold on his cheeks 24/7? Hmm, I don't know, could it be her husband Cardan, a fae who checks off all those boxes? But wait, if it really was Cardan, the High King of Elfhame, attend a party of Locke's, even if they were close friends would he deign to travel out of the palace just for some lowly party? What he wasn't there for the party or its host, but instead for the host's wife? A woman who looked almost exactly like his wife, and for a moment, in a drunken haze he could just pretend....

There's ALOt..and I don't wanna spoil too many plotpoints but here are some interesting facts!>;3

XD is VERY important to the story.

There's actually a reason why many characters are anthropomorphic, and why there are gods:3

Many of the original plot have been changed, heavily inspired by things like NOPE, Jujitsu kaisen, all quiet on the western front, I have no mouth and I must scream, TDAC, etc.

If you like body horror, extensenicial nightmares and cringe then its definitely for you>:3
