Ewing - The Rogue x Dogg Pound Sneaker
Ewing Athletics, the first independent basketball brand founded by NBA Hall of Famer Patrick Ewing, has released a brand-new sneaker in collaboration with Tha Dogg Pound, made up of the west-coast hip hop duo Kurupt and Daz Dillinger. The Rogue x Dogg Pound sneaker was inspired by “Dogg Food,” the critically acclaimed Dogg Pound album released in 1995 on Death Row Records.Ewing Athletics has a rich history of collaborating with iconic hip-hop artists like EPMD, Big Pun, Ghostface, Ultramagnetic MCs, ODB (Ol’ Dirty Bastard), and Big L.
“We’re paying tribute to this landmark album with this collaborative Rogue x Dogg Pound sneaker, complete with special packaging and custom Dogg Pound branding,” said David Goldberg, head of Ewing Athletics.
Tha Dogg Pound were signed to Death Row Records in their early careers and were crucial for the label's success. Kurupt and Daz went on to release solo albums starting in 1998. The group is closely aligned with Snoop Dogg and part of an extended musical family, referred to as DPGC (Dogg Pound Gangsta Clicc), made up of Tha Dogg Pound, Snoop Dogg, and various affiliated artists and groups.
The ROGUE x DOGG POUND (Black/Royal/Lemon) is available for the first time since our comeback.
The ROGUE features a forefoot cross strap support system, neoprene midfoot inserts, and an EVA midsole for lightweight cushioning. The shoe is Available now in Men's Sizes 5-16.
