Hiiii! How have you been? How's life? Back then in the pandemic era I was still in college and I got so much free time cuz of the lockdown and I used to wait for your edit/story update. You were one of my favorite simmers. Now I rarely check tumblr, yet for some reasons I remember about you :)

I’m doing super well, currently just living in the UK with my wife, thank you for asking! I play sims all the time still, just don’t have the actual mental energy to keep up with my blog or stories like I used to. I had a lot of free time during the pandemic and simblr really saved my mental health then… I think it would do the opposite effect nowadays 🥲 But I’m still here lurking and reading other people’s stories haha

I think about my characters and everyone that enjoyed them all the time ngl. It’s my biggest regret not being able to finish and give closure to some of you. Maybe one day 😭

Thank you for reaching out. I miss being actively part of the community and interacting with you all. Maybe I can find a way to come back lightly, without any pressure to post.

hi Thaís! i hope you're doing great! i just wanted to drop by and tell you that every now and then I think about your story and how I loved it so much. it fundamentally changed the way I play the sims, on a prosaic level, but also how I approach storytelling & character development, so not only is it my favorite sims story i've ever read, it's also a huge inspiration! also your visuals were all absolutely mesmerizing and I find myself scrolling through the 'outtakes' tag every once in a while and missing mary & beth. anyway, i hope that your life is going amazingly! 💜

I'm sorry, I don't know if you've sent me this today or a while ago - I'm rarely on tumblr these days. But this message touched me more than you could know.

My sims story was such an important part of my life during the peak of the pandemic. It was a coping mechanism and (to this day) one of my favourite creative outlets. So, to know you've felt this much towards it is like a massive warm embrace. Not to be corny af but jgkldfjgkl. I hope you know what I mean. I miss Beth and Mary as if they were real, so it makes me soft knowing that you miss them too!

My life is going really well 😌 I'm engaged and in the middle of working on a visa application. So life is a bit chaotic atm haha. I'd aboslutely love to make sims stories like I used to back in 2020, but with life back to it's "normal routine", I can't see it happening any time soon... I've been flirting with the idea of novel writing though. Maybe one day. You'll know if I ever commit to it, especially since I've always admired your writing! 🥰

Ohhhhh nonny, you don’t know what you have done UHUIHGD. I’m sorry, I went overboard with it - as usual - but that was SUCH A SWEET “request”. 

This scene is 100% canon so, spoilers? Kind of? lsdjfkl. 

Beth and Mary are around 60 years old in here. I imagine they’d try to keep up with fashion trends with the help of some younger family members, but they’d have stuck with a 20s hairstyle for a while longer. Also, you can’t see in the shots but they have a piano in the parlour where Mary plays often and they both sing together. Beth especially likes when Mary sings to her in foreign languages. You also can’t see the collection of… Wait no, that’s a spoiler.

Thank you so much for sending me this!! 🥺You are so adorable for having thought of asking me that. And your headcanon was so spot on because Beth and Mary love to dance together, even if it’s a bit wonky because of Beth’s lack of waltzing/slow dancing skills. I can’t picture it being any other way. By the way, you lads won’t meet Lucy in the story because she was probably born in the 30s, but you’ll see other pets, don’t worry 😌

"You and Miss Norman spend quite a lot of time together." Timothy Laurence declared before taking a quick graceless sip of tea. The noise he made caused Mary's lip to twitch in repulse. "I had never noticed until today."

"My! Please, forgive me, Mr. Laurence, for I used to take you for a clever man." She sneered. "Miss Norman is to keep me accompanied. She is my companion, after all."

"Naturally, naturally!" Timothy chuckled. "However… Is a companion good enough for you?"

"It will have to be." Mary's sharp tone announced that the topic was not in for further discussion. And, with elegance of a noble, the young woman took a long sip of her own tea as if to demonstrate how it was properly done.

Regency it is, nonny! Because I'm absolutely shite when it comes to anything before the 19th century. Actually, I've never done a Regency sim in my life, so bare with me. I know Beth's hat isn't accurate, but it's about the ✨bow✨ OK?

Regency Beth&Mary is basically just Elizabeth Bennett and Emma Woodhouse running away together. And, let me tell you lads, I'm here for it 👁👄👁
