Stelle stares at the blood dripping down her arm for a moment. Seems like the monster landed a hit. "It's just a scratch." She replies plainly, seemingly unfazed by the gash on her arm. As if this is normal for her.

Roaming the forest was something that was already warned about, yet it seems something happened and now Eiji is face to face with a monster. At least you don't plan to be overly hostile instantly. he blinked at the sudden question, gaze darting around to see who followed him. especially since he was already warned to STAY far away from the forest. but that had to be some local thing to keep tourists from getting lost, RIGHT? after all, the small town probably didn't want to deal with filling missing people paperwork. still the deer was new-- but it probably didn't speak. and it only approached him after hearing him opening his snack wrappers. just as he was about to play it as his mind playing tricks on him, the deer spoke again?. this time in a DIFFERENT voice. "wow-- did you learn how to speak for snacks like the deer in nara learned to bow?" probably not, but that's all he could come with after TRYING to understand the situation. everything in his mind was warning him NOT to approach. that approaching the speaking deer was probably ominous. but that didn't stop him. "do you want some.. protein bars?"

"The signal here sucks..." Frowning, Rei stares down at her phone, text message stuck on 'failed to send. tap to try again.'

And for the third time, Rei presses the send button only to receive the same results.

you try to make it out to samigōri at least once a year. generally, this falls during the summer... as its when the academy is at its calmest, it's the easiest to free your time. but you've made the trek in the off seasons if you've had to.

regardless of when you visit, there is always one person who is happy to see you, which you quite like. you'd like to say you're something akin to friends - acquaintances, perhaps ?? - more than strangers, at the very least.

you shuffle around the contents of your bag for a short while, eventually pulling a small, neatly wrapped gift from it. ❝ here, for you -- !! i commissioned it from a dwarf that i'm friends with back home. ❞ under the wrapping paper the other would find a charming little wood carving.

you hope she likes it but, it's ok if she doesn't, either.

Rei nods, allowing herself to lean on miki. Out of all the times for her to sprain her ankle, it just had to be now. “Sorry about this…” She adds, feeling a tinge of guilt for slowing the other down.

Rei was about to say something, but decides against it at the last minute. Her mouth opening and then promptly closing. There’s a look of concern on her face, yet she finds herself complying with Shou.

“okay, fine... But please let me know if something’s up. I don’t mind taking a break if you need one.”
