Terrified of bees.

Judging by the fact that the Ardoni were described as ‘rock-like’ I don’t think he could get stung

But maybe he just really doesn’t wanna risk it

Or a fleshy friend got stung and he was fuckin horrified/swore vengeance on all bees

Also that one blooper

Terrible at explaining things

I mean, did you see the first scene between him, Sen and Ria?

He’s wise because of experience but not the smartest either

Like, he can tell you where to forage for berries but he doesn’t know how red stone works

Doesn’t mean he can’t give good advice

Unfortunately he ends up sounding really vague totally by accident

Because of this, everyone thinks he’s this Wise, Sage Mentor who Totally knows what going on

Probably the only Ardoni with a taste for meat

Now hear me out

I don’t remember a scene where Sen ate anything but bread and fruit

Also all of the Ardoni clans were shown to live in close harmony with nature & there were no cattle pens or livestock in the area

Not to say that Ardoni can’t eat meat, but maybe it’s a common practice to just not

Thalleous probably got a taste for it durring the war because fresh fruits & bread were hard to come by, but hunting wild pigs wasn’t

Probably brings some to the kids that treat beef jerky sticks like candy canes

Wait does that make Thalleous Santa - Sendaris, Sant-darius? SANTADARIS

Really likes exploring & doesn’t enjoy being inactive

He was the only Sendaris - and one of the few Ardoni - that believed a second war was comming

Maybe was also pretty active as a kid, see previous headcannon post

Took up traveling out of a combination of unrest from the war, personal quest to kill the Voltaris and not being content with just chilling in a cool hobbit hole

Most Ardoni - especially after the Great War - are family oriented & maintain positive relationships between extended families

And those familes can get Big

Assorted Headcannons: Thalleous Sentaris (Songs of War)

Me: I really should work on my Cole headcannons, it’s been months.

Also Me: Yea but cool glowy uncle

Me: ... well shit I can’t argue with that

So HERE WE ARE. Mostly this is for me to get down my general impression of his character for when I start writing for him. Given that this show is incomplete, I’ll be working from the ground up rather than having cannon to use as a scaffolding. I’m workin’ through the script and I’ll probably do Achillean once I get to his bits.

Younger Years

A tride and true protagonist; eager and determined to do the right thing and fight for his people

Also stubborn, he would head butt a tree down if he could (and probably has)

The kind of kid who’d be up at the ass-crack of dawn before anyone else, a habit that became invaluable durring and after the Great War

Some sort of ungodly combination of a Chad and a Himbo

Personality

Genuinely means well in just about every he does, perhaps a bit protective due to loosing so much of his family at a young age

His definition of ‘the right thing’ can be a bit skewed

Is - and has - been willing to lie if it means a better outcome for everyone involved, ranging from mundane things (giving Senn and Ria Songs) to very big details (that I refuse to spoil)

Habits & Fun Lil Bits

This is more of a first impression thing, but I though that the Ardoni race was genderless when I first saw them. Then Ria was called female and I went ‘huh, so... do they fu-‘

The compromise was that yea they’ve got bio genders, but most would probably present as non binary/genderfluid/or both with a preference for she-her or he-him pronouns

Thalleous with Legolas-style hair that is all

Definitely the ‘Cool Uncle’, kids love him and he is an absolute dork

Probably let’s them play fight with him and has considered letting them try out his sword, but has at least enough responsibility to know that is a Bad Idea

Still probably tried it once

Can’t sleep without sword being close by, post-war habit/trauma

Don’t try to wake him up once he’s sleeping either it tends to lead to lots of shouting & Agressium attacks

Probably gonna need to watch the full show for context, but holy shit this. This is good. It’s heavily Thalleous centric, but with side plots related to Tygrenn that are really, really good. There are so many parallels I refuse to spoil, the illustrations - yes there are PICTURES - are just A R T and Thalleous, my boy Thally, I can’t even. Just go read this.
