As a Brazilian, I'd be okay if Demi Moore won the Oscar for Best Actress because her performance as Elizabeth in The Substance was something else. And in a category where we had a:

Black woman

Trans woman (even if she had problematic opinions)

Woman in her early 60's

Latina woman

They decided to majority vote for the youngest one with a career that hasn't even complete 15 years yet.

In the end, The Substance was more of a documentary than a body horror, grotesque, comic movie. Ageism is fucked up.

I'm saddened that once again a Fernanda has lost the Oscar for an okay performance from an actor that is fresh, and new, and will have way more opportunity to be at the awards as a nominee but I'm pissed that they snub Demi Moore like this.
