i fear that if psych happened in 2024 shawn would exclusively speak in brainrot terms 24/7 and it’s killing me to think about

thinking about shawn and juliet. shawn who has a pickup line for any ridiculous situation. shawn who can speak with someone once and is pretty much guaranteed to have them in his bed that night. shawn who NEVER stops talking, but the moment he finally decides to tell juliet how he truly feels about her, he forgets all of it. literally goes speechless.

sure, he loved abigail, but he KNEW he could impress her with the whole silly routine he’s done with every other girl, for as long as she didn’t get tired of it. he knows juliet deserves more than that, but he doesn’t know how to handle that yet.

i’ve noticed that he doesn’t really do the whole psychic bit around just jules unless it’s part of a case. he kept it going for abigail even when he wasn’t working because he knew she liked it and didn’t really know how else to (or really care to find another way to) impress her.

he WANTS to try harder for her, even if he’s ever so slowly realizing it and it makes me want to rip my hair out because i can TELL she knows, but she doesn’t want to be the first one to say it when she feels like she’s already tried so many times only for him to not catch what she’s throwing right past his face.
