hey guys. getting really into project hail mary lately. considering they forced ryland onto the ship do we think they let him choose a preferred way to die like they did with the others and it's just something else he forgot or did they not even give him the luxury, even though everyone else on the ship with him would've. ok bye

i have more to say sorry i’m not done.

do we think the thought of grace haunted stratt until either the day they got the beetle or she died. do we think she found out that he was the last alive against all odds and she was so pissed off and just a little bit proud of him but would never admit it. do we think she’d see someone who reminded her of him just a little bit and just feel so guilty. just for a second. do we think any of his kids ever found out what he was doing and maybe one of them decided to go into space science and get a job at nasa just to keep an eye on him. maybe of them got far enough that they met stratt and she could just tell why they were there before they even said a word. she saw enough of him in them to tell.

i do not like them together but i do think they were soulmates. not in a “they can’t live without each other” way but in a “they were fated to meet” way. if that essay never found her the world literally would’ve never stood a chance
