at first, this drawing had a normal palette instead of a limited one.

It felt so unstimulating to work on, so we looked into our "inspiration" tagged reblogs, and thought, "limited palette is the way to go!"

so we tried to do a blue/yellow one... and it was really fun! :D

drawing the train just looked bad so... we ended up getting rid of the floor and wall. we also considered to have clara in the background dramatically pretending to throw up and saying "get a room" as per the chapter, but it cluttered the image too much.

and ultimately, we wanted to image to convey something else that is not clara being a burda/burakhovsky shipper.

also yes, we turned on the sketch layer to spice up the image~

and shockingly this image also has the heavy red/blue palette of the pathologic fest art for this AU... hehe.

The serious writers in the fandom: I wonder how Thanatica operated? Did they have grants from the government, or was it all from independent patrons, or corporations? Where did they get the cadavers for experimentation? What sort of hospitals did they have cooperations with? Did Daniil become his own representative, or were there multiple people with him? Believe it or not, Chapter 14 (and many more) of ISMIE was finished in March. But personal matters made it difficult to draw this screenshot - not sure what sort of layout it should have. It's done, though! Also, when the battery isn't full yet, the tail of the ouroboros wouldn't meet its head yet - and the slate-blue circle would reflect the battery's percentage, too.

Now, we imagine that Daniil will be able to change the UI's theme/style - after all, it reflects his own state of mind. It's back-end, sure, but it's also front-end. What do you think?
