I absolutely adore the fact that everyone in the mass effect universe thinks of Shepard as this bulwark against extinction, as a spearhead of existence and generally very aggressive or strong or "best at fighting" but then you have Thane who always refers to Shepard as "siha", a great protector and not as, a hammer to nail problems, or Hackett's tip of the spear in the reaper war.

Yes, Shepard fights like nobody's business, but she's doing it to protect life everywhere. And that's so special about Thane and Shepard 's relationship. 🥺
