Thane was a bit surprised by the question. He cared for her, of course, even admired her. But he was a dying man. She shouldn’t request such a thing. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to; it was more that he knew it couldn’t end well, and that he didn’t want her to lose more than all she had already lost.

“It’s... probably better if you don’t.” He assured, letting a sad smirk cross his features.

“The Six Infinity Stones...my father claimed he destroyed them long ago to prevent the humans of Earth from ever reversing what he did. What fools they were to believe in his one and only lie,” said Thane as he shows the stones hovering over his hand.

“My father could not destroy the stones. If he did then all life down to its last molecule would have been wiped out. Destroying time, space, and life. So, he hid them away in places only he knew. Unfortunately for him I knew where he hid them and I was able to gain all the stones.”

Thane chuckled a bit; he had definitively not seen that question coming. He really admired Liara for her hard work and for her abilities on the battlefield. She felt quite SPECIAL, just like Shepard. But he had never thought she would ever look at him with such a playful smile. She was beautiful too, of course. He cleared his throat, smirking gently.

“It wasn’t a challenge, Liara.” He assured. “But if you take it this way, it could maybe...” He paused for a moment. He was sitll not sure of what she was implying. “What did you think, exactly ?” He asked with another brief chuckle.

Thane isn’t sure he can help. He’s truly just an assassin, after all. He’s kind, though, has always done his best to remain good through all of this. maybe that’s why Wanda decided to visit him, of all the people.

“You can stay.” He lets her enter. “Do you need anything ?”

Thane feels like he BELONGS to this team, and it’s a relief. He manages to reconcile with Kolyat, against all odds. Of course, hopefully, after the mission against the Collectors, he will have more time to spend with his son. But for now, he just feels grateful. He would never have thought it was possible, and if it happened, it’s truly thanks to Dina Shepard. She’s a special Commander, and in a good way.

He hesitates for a moment, not because he doesn’t want to take her hand, but because he’s not sure if he should do it, but he still does it, and even offers her a soft smirk in the process. “I won’t forget what you did for me, Shepard. If you need me to do anything for you in return, please, just ask, and I will do it.” He assures.

Thane smirks gently as the Commander approach him. He is doing fine; he knows he is a dying man, and it’s something he’s at PEACE with. Actually, he’s just glad he can play an important part in that fight against the Collectors. It’s his last mission, but it’s a very meaningful one. It’s relieving.

“You don’t have to worry about me. I am doing fine.” He assures. Wren seems to be a good person; she talks with everyone in her crew, even if she’s busy with her mission. It’s ADMIRABLE, for a Commander, to act this way. Thane isn’t even sure she’s aware of that fact, though.

Thane nods. Maybe it’s not OBVIOUS yet that he is a dying man -- after all, he still can fight with all he has -- but it won’t change his current state. Fighting against the Collectors, at Shepard’s side, and making sure Kolyat is doing okay.... These are the only things that matter to him. He doesn’t have much choice, anyway.

“I am already dying, Legion.” Thane explains as he lets a brief smirk cross his features. “It’s kind of you to be concerned about it, but I really am fine. I don’t know for how much time, but for now, I am, and that’s what is important.”
