I really think the best moments aren't in front of cameras. I think you can have fun and take pictures but if that's all you're doing then that's not fun. That's not quality time with the person. You can't have a meaningful conversation while taking pictures. You can't get to know the person. If you take time off your night to snap a picture I understand. You want to look back at a physical image of a beautiful time you had. But the image is a moment away from that wonderful time. It is not THE wonderful time. So don't be that couple in the corner just taking pictures. Don't be that person on the couch taking selfies all night. Just snap a picture and move on. Or you'll miss what you're trying to document. You don't need validation from the world to know you had fun.
