We ran into a dad and daughter who was maybe 7 as we headed out of the lower loop at Chestnut Ridge today. They'd parked WAY up at the Eternal Flame trailhead and had wandered down. No water and a long way to go back with a kid who was a good sport, but was visibly tired. Helped them to see where to go on the map, but then got lucky and Jerry, the Park Ranger pulled up. I told him their situation. He ended up having the dad and daughter hop in his truck and drove them back to their car. Thank your Park Rangers.
