Tell me about "Many courses of love (zelink oneshots)." :D Be they angsty or fluffy?

Ah Many Courses of Love <3

I feel like I should tell you that technically they’re not all zelink oneshots; the series is sort of a way for me to explore what all the Links are up to after their adventures, and how they’re navigating relationships and their lives after everything they’ve been through.

Some are more fluffy (the skyward sword one) and some are more angsty (the link’s awakening one), but they vary a fair amount throughout. They generally lean a bit more angsty though because I’m just like that XD

I’ve already written several of them! Next up on my list is either breath of the wild or four swords, I’m not sure which one I’ll have done first. Here’s a bit from the 4s one though :)

“They all treat me like a thing Link, like just some prize to be won so they can flaunt their status,” she said, voice shaking. “Nobody thinks of me as a person, even Vaati only kidnapped me because he wanted a bride! He didn’t even care about me, he just saw my looks and that was it!”

She angrily pushed some hair out of her face.

“I’m tired of being treated like an object,” she said in an exhausted voice, and Link gently put his hand over hers.

Hey Wolf! I have no idea why the symbols you sent aren't viewable on my computer; I can see them on my phone, but they don't match up exactly with the other emojis. Platform issue?

🥺 Is there a certain type of moment or common interaction between your characters that never fails to put you in your feels?

Moments of trust, especially when that trust is sort of... forced? Like when Person A needs help so badly that they are left with no other option than to trust Person B (whether because there is no other choice or because they're at their mental limit), that shit gets me hahaha.

⛔ Do you have a fic you started, but scrapped?

There are a couple of Naruto fics I set aside because I realized they were too ambitious for me (one day, Tobirama, one day). I've also (temporarily!!!!) put the Warriors and Cia fic on hold, but only because I'm trying to focus on DoR and upcoming whumptober.

❌ What's a trope you will never write?

Gratuitous fluff without plot, especially if there's a lot of physical affection. I don't enjoy reading it, and I can't even fathom the idea of writing it.

🤗 What advice would you give to new fanfic writers that are just getting started?

Read a lot! Try different genres and authors; you'll start to fall into your own style without even realizing it.

Don't wait to start until it "feels right." Straight up, it's probably never going to. There's always going to be that hesitation of "am I good enough" or "do I grasp concept or character xyz well enough." Just go for it.

Don't be shy about asking for advice or beta readers. It's super helpful to have outside input!

1) Sally wasn’t raised speaking strictly English or French,but rather, her parents’ pidgin. Her bond with her mom helped keep the twolanguages separate enough in her head to be able to communicate exclusively inone when she needed to. When her mother was killed, she lost that barrier andthe two blended together. Basically, she had word soup. 5) For all the benefits of having been part of a psi bondedfamily, there are some negatives. Namely, she gets cravings for foods she has never had. She can’t decide if shethinks it’s funny or frustrating — and a lot of it depends on her currentcircumstances. One of her post-ADVENT goals is to finally find and consume thevarious strange things her parents’ memories demand.

H: a character that you love to hate?

The Flood/Gravemind…The concept of the Flood is absolutely horrifying, it just consumes everything and practically nothing can stop it. But not only that, the more it eats the smarter it gets. I just loved that the Gravemind was so eloquent when it spoke, it really gave you the sense of just how much this thing knew and how powerful it was. I’m both fascinated by it and scared by it - and that’s really cool.

How about…Kathleen/Human!Blade? ;) Lol, ok not really, I couldn’t ever ship them as anything other than BFFs. But I still get cracky ideas from time to time about Human!Blade and Kathleen getting up to shenanigans.
