Honored to have @burningman post my photos of our camp @playalchemist this year. The camp was made possible buy every single person who came and gave their spirit, effort and generosity to create it. However a few very special people have to be mentioned. This small group of people are responsible for the ideation and execution of the camp. A huge huge huge Thank you @kho19 @christopherkrywulak @igall99 for bringing the camp into existence. Thank you for day time programming @satyakamdar Night time programming @shishibabylon The multimedia team @eugenelopin @akact Aza @adrenorama Again, I could go on and on and list every single camp member. Without all of them it would not have been built or exist. Thank you everyone. After opening the grand pyramid with a blessing from the elders (photo in the slide show) , the camp featured over 22 hours of programming each day, including activities to acculturate, push your comfort zone, tap into deeper emotions, and transfer the experiences on playa into the default world. #thankslarry the man base this year was designed by @hybycozo #burningman is something personal to everyone that is lucky enough to make the pilgrimage to the alkline #dusts of black rock desert.  This year marked my 11th straight year going.  I have to say, it really took about 5 years for me to understand some of the subtle nuances of what it really meant to me.  If I really try and explain it to myself, I have arrived at a definition that is centered somewhere in the area of personal #transformation.  It has become the single most fertile grounds for personal growth. Mind you, personal growth can occur anywhere.  Transcendental moments can occur in your bathroom, or driving or meditating, however for me, the ability to travel somewhere with harsh physical conditions, that has been created with boundaries specifically designed to keep our western trapping out, has created a space optimized for transformative growth.  Thousands of people make the trip every year.  Each and every one somewhere in their own personal cycle.  Some have been going for 30 something years and for some this may have been their first.  It matters not where you are in heritage, but rather what your intentions are for yourself attending.  Intentions allow you to actuate potential.  You see a better you, and through transformation you make physical, emotional and spiritual modifications to yourself to actuate that potential vision you had.  The 10 principles are great guideposts and measures to be able to help you on your path of self actualization.  You realize that your time spent at burning man helps you become the best version of your self.  You see you actions through the lens of the principles, and you realize that we are all the same.  We are all connected in this experience on the playa regardless of how many years you have been or what your role is.  The only real role is to be a participant and not just a spectator.  For example, Artists contribute in one way, but participants provide the human backdrop of energy for the artists.  The city is a city of volunteers in every way.  #fire #explosion #pyrotechnics #flame (continued on first comment) (at Burning Man) https://www.instagram.com/p/B2sgLGoHsDM/?igshid=15brh46maztz7

This is a photograph of @michaelbenisty.art #brokenbuttogether at #burningman Michael’s art is not only aesthetically beautiful but emotionally evocative and large scale all at the same time. This one did not let down. I had two incredible moments out at this piece listening to a musician play music and bare his souls in a song he sung. I also met two other wonderful people out there that were working through heartbreaks and heart mendings. all art pieces at burning man have a gravity that brings people around them. People congregate, admire, converse, and share. If you stay long enough and are willing to participate they can be the best places to have incredible conversations with people you have never met. Every once in a while you arrive at a piece and have it all to yourself. Making art with @parishilton at @burningman Over the past year many discussions have been circulating about #photographs , #photoshoots on the playa, one of the principles at #burningman ( #decommodification )and influencers. The discussions are very valid as we want to preserve the culture as much as possible. These photos we took together are intended as two friends having fun, making art for the sake of art and demonstrating that it’s possible to shoot photos, share them and not tag products. It’s not a photo shoot on the playa that is inherently wrong. It’s the intentions behind it. We had a blast playing with the camera on a magical Monday morning.
